He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sr. Deso and Madge Deso; and his uncle Hover. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Trinity, Ryker, Isabella, Eaven, Sophia and Colten; his great grandchild Brinley; and his brothers, James Deso (Shirley) and Thomas Deso.
He was dedicated to his community and donated hours of work making many projects to community organizations and municipalities.
