He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Carole A. Patnode; his significant other Kay Papin; his nephews, Michael Patnode (Gretchen) of Peru and Steven Patnode of Plattsburgh; his niece Susan Moore (Jeffrey) of Plattsburgh; and his brother-in-law James A. Patnode of Plattsburgh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Champlain EMS Department.
