She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Gonyea and Mary Gonyea (Childs); her siblings, Orilla, Harold and George; and her daughter Mary Thornton DiTaranto.
She is survived by: her husband Anias Thornton (Sam); her children, Tina Thornton (Chris Wrasse) of Los Angeles, CA, Teresa Acostamadiedo (Jose) of Cumberland Head, NY and Anias III Thornton (Kerry) of Mooers, NY; her son-in-law Louis DiTaranto (Heather) of Temple Terrace, FL; her grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon DiTaranto, Christina Wrasse, Olivia, Joe, Hunter Acostamadiedo, Alexis and Kaelyn Thornton; her siblings, Barbara Peck of Gouverneur, William Gonyea (Kathy) of Hermon and Ken Gonyea (Patty) of Lambertville, Michigan; and her caregivers, Marilyn Daily, Dina Dragoon, Tinna Bissette and Heather Newell, RN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
