He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Southwick (Boulton) and Charles Southwick; and his brother David Southwick. He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Stephen Southwick (Lori), Mark Southwick (Monique), Kurt Southwick (Steven) and Amy Tompkins (Jack); and his grandchildren, John, Chad, Michael, Emily, Brittany, Andrew, Sarah and Katelyn. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Champlain Fire Department or the Champlain Public Library.
