She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Waterman and Alice Kennedy Waterman; her daughter Lisa Gail Alger; her husbands, Clayton "Don" DeMente and Carl Schmidt; and her sister Joan Parker.
She is survived by: her niece Kathleen MacCracken (Matt Griffo) of Geneseo; her nephew Michael MacCracken of Utica; her stepson C. Edward Schmidt (Robyn) of New Hartford; her grandchildren, Eddie Schmidt and Kaitlin Schmidt; her stepdaughter Carolyn Richardson (Fulton); and her close friend Marie Duink of New Hartford.
