He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Wood; and his sister Elaine Bryant. He is survived by: his wife Gloria "Doty" Lenhart Chaires; and his children, Donald Chaires Jr. (Paula), Edward Chaires (Kristy) and Patty Chaires (Joel). He is also survived by several grandkids, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
