She was predeceased by: her parents, William Helmer and Beverly McVey. She is survived by: her husband Charles King; her children, Jennifer Hager and Charles King III (Kelly Johnson); her grandchildren, Cody and Bailey Hager; and her brothers, Joseph McVey (Amy), Michael McVey (Lisa) and Robert McVey (Mary). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Per Barbara's request there will be no services, donations can be made to Erin's Angels of CNY, 219 County Route 57, Phoenix, NY 13135.
