Joan Bjorkgren Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 24, 2025, at the age of 88, Joan Bjorkgren of Central Islip, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Joan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (28 Church St, Hornell, NY 14843). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to either the First Baptist Church, 28 Church St., Hornell or to the Hornell YMCA, 18 Center St., Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the church.
