He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Preston and Louisa Harris Preston; his wife Ila May Perry; and his siblings, Edith Redman, Elizabeth Simons and Frederic Preston.
He is survived by: his grandson Dan Preston; and his children, Nathan Preston (Michelle) of Centerville, Luann Preston-Wilsey (William) of Geneva, Joanne Kitt of Perry, Eileen Jones (Robert) of Mays Landing, NJ, Ethan Preston (Yolanda) of Buffalo and Timothy Preston (Sandy) of Mt. Pleasant, NC. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
