It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Lessler of Centereach, New York, who passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lessler and Josephine Lessler; his wife Dr. Karen Lessler; his brothers, Glen Lessler and Gary Lessler; and his brother-in-law Joseph Flemming.

He is survived by: his sons, Later, John Lessler and Matthew Lessler; his daughter-in-law Kelly Lessler; his granddaughters, Madeline Lessler and Ellie Lessler; his sisters, Grace Sinkiewicz, Gill Carro (Nicholas) and Gail Flemming; his siblings-in-law, Michele Gerardi (Lawrence) and Arthur Lopizzo (Marlene); and his friends, Kevin and Nancy Foote.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St James Funeral Home (829 Middle Country Rd, St James, NY 11780). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 16th 2024 at 7:30 PM and on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
