He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Hughes and Marilyn Slauson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen "Peggy" Hughes; and his sons, Scott Hughes (Ginger) of Eaton and Jeffrey Hughes (Edie) of Cazenovia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
