It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Emily Dewey of Cazenovia, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on August 5, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wallace Ingersoll and Jennie Ingersoll; her husband Robert W. Dewey; and her siblings, Donald Ingersoll, Cecilia McCarthy, Martha Smith and Lettie DeSilva.

She is survived by : her sons, Robert E. Dewey (Dorene) of Morley, NY, David Dewey (Pamela) of Delphi Falls and Brian Dewey (Carol) of Syracuse; and her grandchildren, Collene Hein (Kelly) of Fulton, Sharon Chase of Evans Mills, Daniel Dewey (Jennifer) of Cazenovia, Steven Dewey (Janet) of Las Vegas, Mark Dewey (Jennifer) of McDonough, NY and Nathan Dewey of Syracuse. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; one great, great grandson as well as several nieces and nephews.
