He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Case Grunert and Frederick Karl Grunert Sr.; and his brother Jerauld. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Frederick Karl Grunert III (Betsy Whitehouse) of Pittsford, NY and Hilary Irby (Elijah) of Rye, NY; his stepchildren, Guy Sturgis (Amy) of Melrose, MA and Tami Gordon (David) of Boise, ID; his sisters, Shirley Beckeman of Jamesville, Wilma Brownback of Manlius and Susan Ross of Hilton Head, SC; and his grandchildren, Fritz, Evelyn, Conor Lynne, Carter, Sam and Philip. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
