He is survived by: his nephew Noah; his children, Angela River Knapp (Lew) of Corning, NY, Lauren Hess of Cayuta, NY and Robert Hess of Cayuta, NY; his pet Cerberus; his father Alton Hess of Millport, NY; and his siblings, Christopher Hess, Amanda Stone, Scott Barden and Timothy Barden.
