He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Potter and Martha Wells Potter; his wife Mary Ann; and his sister Nina Potter Brown. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Ryan-Trenchard of Clifton Springs, John Potter, Sr. (Robin) of Phelps, Gordon Potter, Jr. (Jessica) of Canandaigua, Cheryl Warner of Houghton and Maryanne Potter of Baldwinsville; and his siblings, Gary Potter (Bobbie) and Nancy Burdick of Syracuse. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
