He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard E. "Bud" and Kate Hoyt Praetorius; and his brother Howard "Buddy" Praetorius Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Kaitlyn Praetorius; his sister Helen Spring (Don) of Palenville; his nephew Donald Spring Jr.; his niece Heather Halvorsen (Jonathan); and his great-nephews, Michael Premo and Jeremy Halvorsen.
