He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Henry and Mary Eugenia Stenglein Burghardt; his wife Gladys Speenburgh Burghardt; and his sister Regina Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Karlin and Michael Burghardt; and his sister Kathy Rockefeller.
