He was predeceased by: his parents, Algot Karlsson and Marie Karlsson; his wife Vivian Carlson; his son Fritz Carlson (Lynn) of Tannersville; and his sibling Bodil Wadsworth.
He is survived by: his children, Eric R. Carlson (Kathleen) of Catskill and Barbara Carter (Scott) of Columbia, MD; his sisters, Eva Spinner and Ingrid Schuchman; his grandchildren, Britt Carlson, Beth Carlson Cramer, Kjell-Erick, Cortney Carlson, Kurt Carter and Sarah McWilliams; and his great grandchildren, Llanya, Zander, Theodore, Sadie, Sloane, Lochlan, Colton and Addy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
