She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Ausburn; her children, Cheryl Phinecy and Gregory Ausburn; her grandson Kevin Steele; and her siblings, Leila Sanford, Beverly Van Gee, Lorenzo "Sonny", Vernon "Sharkey" Owen, Alfred, Howard and Rodney Ames.
She is survived by: her children, Carole Steele (Richard Sr.), Roberta Irving (David) and Arthur Ausburn II; and her sisters, Leona Ames and Norma Compson. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
