She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin C. Gerig and Emma R. Gerig (Nofziger); her daughter Adele Kennedy; her son-in-law Vernon Rupp; and her siblings, Elsie, Mabel Miller, Christian Emanuel, Frances Yutzy, Mary, Melvin, Allen, Eldon Laverne, Elmer, Willard and Emery.

She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Lewis Chaffee of Castorland, NY; her daughters, Twila Stoltzfus (David) of Harrisonburg, VA, Elaine Rupp of Wauseon and Betty Suter (Larry) of Harrisonburg, VA.; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Stoltzfus, Erica Stoltzfus, Christy Rupp Householder, Amy Rupp Wagner, Katie Suter Caldwell, Daniel Suter, Matthew Kennedy and Samantha Kennedy.
