He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Helschien and Pauline Helschien; and his wife Helen Helschien. He is survived by: his son Andrew Helschien; his daughter-in-law Janna Helschien of Troy, NY; his sisters, Carole Strauch and Naomi Rosen; his nephews, Jeffrey Strauch (Stacey) and Marc Strauch (Brenda); and his niece Elicia Rosen-Fox.
