It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Marie Uptegrove of Castile, New York, born in Batavia, New York, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Christian Schramm; her husband Roger Uptegrove; her siblings, Edna Torrey, Edith Schramm, Doris Stack, Donald and Ronald Schramm; her grandson Simon Smith; and her great grandchild Hannah Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Smith (Daniel) of Winona, KS, John Uptegrove (Denise) of Angola, NY, Mary Wixson of Thompsonville, MI, Joel Uptegrove (Heidi) of Cheyenne, WY, Jeremiah Uptegrove (Michelle) of Bernhards Bay, NY and Jacob Uptegrove of Perry, NY.; and her siblings, Leonard Schramm and Althea Penepent. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
