It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malcolm W. Smith of Cassville, New York, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Floretta Smith (Way); his wife Elsa Rettschlag; and his siblings, Douglas Smith and Valerie Knapp.
He is survived by: his daughters, Malinda Peterson (David) and Loraine Hembury (Ronald); his grandchildren, Matthew Peterson (Brittani), Megan Hudyncia (Ryan), Ryan Hembury (Caitlin), Troy and Cael Hembury; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Chayse Peterson, Michael, Maya Hudyncia and Harper Hembury; and his brothers, Kelvin and Henry Smith.
