He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Demorest and Margareta Demorest (Locke); his son Earl Jr.; his significant other Shirley Burmaster; and his sister Emily Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Melody Knowles of Delmar, Renee (Ken Cuda), Darlene (Martin Snedeker) and Steven (Christine Demorest); his daughter-in-law Laurie Demorest of Cassville; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Taran Fleming), Joanne (Matt Getman), Rebecca (Quinn Kelly), Kevin Shoemaker, Ashley Demorest and Marisa Knowles; his great grandchildren, Harrison, Elana Fleming, Morgan, Taylor Kelly and Emma Getman; his siblings, Clifford, Barb Demorest of Amityville and Joyce Huddleston of Sebring, Florida; and his pet Taffy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
