He is survived by: his wife Barbara Allen; his children, Thomas Butler III of Carthage and Tabatha Rivers (Troy) of Carthage; his siblings, Mark Butler of Carthage, Sheila Howard of Carthage, Jan Fox (Michael) of Natural Bridge and Teresa Durant (Scott) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Robert, Kurt Rivers of Carthage and Alexia Hernandez (Michael) of Carthage; and his great grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell Hernandez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
