He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Monnat and Maude Monnat (Hanno); his children, Gary, Tim Monnat and Kelly Garrison; his grandson David Monnat; and his siblings, Niles, Robert Monnat and Dorothy Boliver.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Monnat of Lowville; his son Tom Monnat (Brenda) of Croghan; and his sisters, Louise Albertson of Lowville and Janice Anderson of Port Leyden. He is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
