He was predeceased by: his father John J. Schatz; his wife Janie A. Rivers; and his brothers, John Jay Schatz and Lynn Carl Schatz. He is survived by: his mother Shirley J. Brown (Hall); his stepfather Raymond Brown; his daughter Jessica Mueller (Andrew) of Watertown; his stepsons, Troy Rivers (Tabatha) of Carthage and Travis Rivers (Shannon) of Texas; and his sisters, Karen Noyes (Chuck) of Carthage and Mona Toper (Dan) of Watertown. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
