It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Pettey (Carthage, New York), who passed away on October 9, 2018, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Leon James; her daughters, Lena Platt and Laura Pettey; and her siblings, Nettie Merit, Mary "Mae" Gear, James Coffie, Gerald Coffie, Donald Coffie and Lyle Coffie.
She is survived by: her parent Eliza Carrie Coffie (Reed); her spouse Earl Charles Pettey; and her children, Charles Pettey (Barbara) of Calcium, NY, Josephine Pettey of Natural Bridge, NY, Elma Johannessen of Belleview, NE, Earl J. Pettey (Julie) and Lester Pettey of Evans Mills, NY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; as well as multiple great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
