He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Thornton and Elizabeth Thornton (Schoonover); and his brother Carroll Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Lynn M. Thornton of West Carthage; his daughter Cathy Lewandowski; his son-in-law Mark Lewandowski of Soft Maple; his son Christopher (Brenda Thornton) of Spencerport; his grandchildren, Carolyn, Alexander and Matthew; his brother Richard P. Thornton of Lincoln; and his pet Swayze. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
