She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kennedy and Mary Kennedy (Gluchowski); her son Ernie Massa; her sister Jackie Kennedy; her sister-in-law Beckie Bergeron; and her in-laws, Mety and Mary Szalach.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen Szalach, Sr.; her children, Jean Marie Pupa of Utica and John Gaspa (Wendy) of Deerfield; her stepchildren, Jaime Talkington (Brian) of South Carolina, Jill Szalach of Buffalo, Stephen Szalach Jr. (Jennifer) of Virginia, Michael Szalach (Hillary) of Virginia and Dennis Szalach (Dawn) of West Leyden; and also David Szalach (Carol) of Lyons Falls. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bezanilla-McGraw Funeral Home (518 State St, Carthage, NY 13619). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (327 West St, Carthage, NY 13619).
