He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth McAvoy Putman; his brother John Putman; and his father Glenn McAvoy. He is survived by: his children, Brian (Heather McAvoy), Justen (Kayla McAvoy), Joseph McAvoy of Mississippi and Jessica (Rusty) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Zachary, Blake, Devin, Colton, Grayson, Haylie, Laynie, Jaylin and Brinxlee; his stepgrandson Scott Anthony Goff; and his sisters, Cheryl LaQuay of Calcium and Vickie Spencer of Carthage.
