He was predeceased by: his parents, Florentine David and Ruth Margaret Genter (Wilder); his former wife Arline Greenizen; and his siblings, Martha and Paul.
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph of Carthage, David (Heidi) of Belgrade, Alan (Karen) of Durango, William "Bill" of West Carthage, Aaron Genter of Washington, DC, Amory Genter of Missoula, Mont, Sean Genter of Durango and Justin Genter of Denver, Colo.; his sisters, Lois Johnson of Minben and Mary Pachoud of Mexico, NY; his niece Shelly; his nephews, Jeffrey and Randy; his grandson Don; and his brother Gerald Williams (Donna) of Elizabethton, Tennessee.. He is also survived by four grandsons.
