He is survived by: his children, Robert Phillips of Big Island, VA, Kathy Phillips Horsley of Big Island, VA, Rodney Phillips Sr. of Bedford, VA, Bobby Phillips Jr. of Carthage, NY, Lonnie Phillips of Carthage, NY and Bonnie Phillips Jr. (David Babcock) of Natural Bridge, NY; his stepchildren, Lawrence Hammill of Black River, NY, Gary Hammill of Carthage, NY, Jerry Hammill of Carthage, NY and Bobbie Jo Helton of Ohio; and his sisters, Lelia Bell White of Virginia, Ida Karnes of Virginia and Rachel Ruff of Virginia. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
