Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Arvilla Lafountain (Carthage, New York), who passed away at the age of 84, on December 30, 2018. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fredrick Joseph and Josephine Elizabeth Schloeder (Wager); her spouse James F. Blackwell; her children, Leonard Blackwell, James Blackwell (Skip), Carl Blackwell and Fredrica Barkley (Rikki); her half-sister Tadako Someya of Kanawaga, Japan; her daughter Tricia Lafountain; her siblings, Patricia Curry of Canton, GA and John Schloeder of Black River, NY; and her great grandchild Damien of Carthage, NY.. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren (Jessica, Adam, Riley, Samantha, Branden, Jimmy, Joe, John, Billy, and Henry) and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carthage Center for Rehabilitation or the American Lung Association.
