She was predeceased by: her husband Peter F. Bassett. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl LaPointe (Mark) of Hampton, NY, Lisa Derochie (Jon) and Wendy Lunt (Robert) of New Paltz, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great- grand children.
In memory of Janis memorial contributions may be made to the Mote Marine Aquarium in Sarasota Florida.
