He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Strates Vlachos and Helen Vlachos; his wife Lillian J. Bator; his children, Christopher Vlachos of New City, NY, Paul Vlachos (Nilsa) of Patterson, NY, Lori Mangione (Dean) of Katonah, NY and Teresa Jettelson (Daniel) of Patterson, NY.; his grandchildren, Brendon Soto of Manhattan, NY, Matthew Vlachos of Patterson, NY, Joseph Mangione, Steven Mangione of Katonah, NY, Noah Jettelson, Skylar Jettelson and Zachary Jettelson of Patterson, NY; and his siblings, John Vlachos, Thomas Vlachos, Michael Vlachos, Helen Vlachos and George Vlachos. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to fisherhouse.org to honor Mr. Vlachos' memory. Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
