He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Pires and Gloria Melro Pires; and his sister Mary Beatriz Goncalves (Antonio "Tony") of Darien, CT.. He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Pires (De Sousa); his daughters, Elizabeth Santarelli (Alberto) of Westport, CT and Jennifer Occhicone (Joseph) of Carmel, NY; his granddaughter Olivia Occhicone; his mother-in-law Rosa DeSousa; and his brothers, Manuel (Manny) of Stratford, CT and A. Frank of Glen Ellen, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
