He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Michael Amendola and Jennie Amendola (DeMatteo); his wife Ellen O'Sullivan; his children, Christopher (Kay) of Bellaire, TX and Jennifer Marschner (Michael) of Bethel, CT; his sister Marion Wyskida of Jefferson Valley, NY; his brother-in-law Peter Kuczma of Yorktown Heights, NY; his grandchildren, Gannon, Garrison, Mia and Jack; and his sister Rosemary Kuczma.

“I just heard about Coach Amendola's passing. It seems like yesterday he was coaching me in football and teaching me math. In both cases he made a lasting impression on me how to be a great coach, good leader, work hard and always have fun. Later as I coached kids, I used that 'equation' as well.
