It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R. Reed of Cape Vincent, New York, who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Reed and Edna Reed (Pennock); his former wife Patricia Van Ness; his children, JoAnn Reed, Raymond and Robert Wright; and his brother Carl Pennock.
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Reed; his children, Jennie (Michael King), Donald (Cathy Reed, Jr.), Richard (Julie Wright), Jackie Shapley of Bainbridge, Jeanette (Michael Countryman), Jamie Dollinger of Canyon Lake, TX, Jeanine (David Bourquin), Jill (Tim Mason), Reggie (Serena Wright) and Julie (Rick Janson); and his sister Dorothy Hollenbeck of Fall River, Massachusetts.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, the Three Mile Bay Fire Department, or the Three Mile Bay Methodist Church.
