He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Shattuck and Laura Shattuck (Jeffers); and his son Joey Russell. He is survived by: his close friend Donna Russell; his children, Brent Eggleston (Jennifer Cougler) and Kristen Sanderson (Steve); his grandchildren, Brandon, Brody Eggleston, Abbi, Emma and Brayden Sanderson; his sister Nancy Aten (Ron); his nephew Cory Aten (Krysta); his nephew Cole Aten (Courtney); and also Kaylin.

Memorial contributions may be made to DeKalb Junction Volunteer Fire Department, 4323 US-11, DeKalb Junction, NY 13630 or to a charity of one's choice.
