With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold J. Swinwood of Canton, New York, born in Montréal, Québec, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2024 at the age of 100. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Swinwood and Freda Swinwood (Locke); his wife Frances Patnode; and his sister Dorothy Bickerstaff (Murdie) of Toronto. He is survived by: his children, Rick Swinwood (Laurie) of Canton and Christine Fobare of Potsdam; his grandchildren, Corey Swinwood (Tara) of Canton, Vanessa Kennedy (Sean) of Stafford, Joshua Fobare of Boston, Bethany Vanderwoude (Geoffrey) of Potsdam and Jesse Fobare of Fishkill; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Madeline Swinwood of Canton, Tyler and Ava Kennedy of Virginia; and his close friend Dorothy Dana of Canton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 89 Grove Street, Massena, New York 13662 where Hal had been receiving care.
