With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David M. Gerlach (Canton, New York), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on March 26, 2025 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Janet Gerlach and Robert Gerlach; his brothers, Jeff, Steve and Fairport; his wife Lisa McIntosh of Harrisville, NY.; his children, Kayla (Josh) and Dave (Canton); and his grandchildren, Harrison and Ruby.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Service (5821 US-11, Canton, NY 13617). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. Despite his effort and achievements, in 2022 Lincoln College was forced to close its doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He became Dean of Enrollment Management from 1998 to 2003 before being named the Vice President for Advancement and CEO of the Canton College Foundation.
