She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl W. Markel and Emma L. Markel (Thompson); her husband Leon F. Freeland; her sisters, Mabel Sleggs, Evelyn Yager and Thelma O'Connor; her daughter-in-law Roberta Freeland; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Freeland, Norma Day and Alton Freeland.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Freeland of Apalachin, David Freeland (Dawn) of Clifton Springs and Douglas Freeland of Hornell; and her grandchildren, Allison Snyder (Tracy), Rebecca Thorton (Tom), Melissa Freeland and Tom Freeland. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
