He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Young and Evalyn Young (Williams); and his siblings, Leroy, Robert, Leon, William Young, Bertha O'Brien and Helen Young.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Young of Canisteo; and his sons, David Young (Sally), Mark Young and Lloyd D. Young, Jr. (Diane) of Almond. He is also survived by grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
