He was predeceased by: his father Donald Quick Sr.; his stepmother Joyce Quick; his mother Leorah Slate; his stepfather Ron Slate; and his sister Ronalee Slate.

He is survived by: his wife Lynn Quick; his daughters, Amy Quick, Ashley English and Alexis Quick; his grandchildren, Tia Quill, Kaden Hover and DJ Hall; his great grandchild Mikiel Quill; his siblings, Jean Dunham, Sereta Spohn, Nancy Snyder and Eric Slate (Charlotte); and his uncle Frank Updyke. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald R. Quick, Jr.'s memory to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 12226, Syracuse, NY 13218 or Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N. McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
