It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stuart J. Shimer of Canastota, New York, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shimer, Jr. and Marie Woodbury (Kirwin). He is survived by: his wife Lorraine F. Sgroi; his daughters, Jasmine F. Shimer (Garrett Grinnell) of Verona, Jade V. Shimer (Halie Ehlinger) of Liverpool and Christle Nourse (William Adamo) of Manlius; and his brothers, Joseph Shimer III (Donna Raposa) of Boston, MA and Richard Shimer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
