With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth J. O'Hara of Canastota, New York, born in New York, New York, who passed away on June 4, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Sommer and Mary Powers Sommer; her husband William P. O'Hara; and her children, Eileen Alicandro (Thomas) of Selkirk, Carole O'Hara of Delray, Liz O'Hara of Oneida, Edie Gorman (Steven) of San Francisco, Audrey Evans (Eric) of Tully, Beverly Attebury (Michael) of Cranford, Stephen O'Hara (Debbie) of New Jersey, Christopher O'Hara of Phoenix and Allen O'Hara (Tina) of Maryland. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be held at a date and time to be announced.
