He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred, Sr. Gustin and Clarena Gustin (Munderback); and his siblings, Allen Gustin, Lee Gustin, Richard Gustin, Fred Gustin, Jr., Shirley Post and Beverly Dupre.
He is survived by: his wife Donna L. Shuler; his children, Rolland, Jr. (Sharon Gustin), Kyle (Donna Gustin) and Cheri Odonnell of Canastota; his grandchildren, Cory Gustin, Nicole Allen, Stephanie (Palash Bharti), Cady (Curt Henry), Wade (Danielle Huebner), Carter Gustin and Brett Gustin; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Emily Gustin, Arlo Huebner and Emmett Henry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
