Owen M. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Owen M. Smith of Canastota, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 23, 2025 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Owen M. Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Smith and Josephine Smith (Randazzo); and his brothers, Gary Smith and Douglas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Smith (Beagle); his children, Kimberly Smith, Michael Smith (Stephanie Brennan) and Daniel Smith (Danae Bader); his grandchildren, Hailey Smith, Brody Bixby and Mason Bixby; his siblings, Joanne Grant and Martin Smith (Bubby); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Smith, Diane Malbouf (Lyle) and Ron Beagle (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the G. F. Zimmer Funeral Home (702 Legion Dr, Chittenango, NY 13037). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chittenango High School (150 W Genesee St, Chittenango, NY 13037).
