She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Smith and Edythe Smith (Hopke); and her brother Dennis Smith. She is survived by: her children, Michael Cotsovites of Canastota, Karen (Thomas DiGaspari) and Kristi (Anthony Riley); her sister-in-law Rosemary "Reggie" Smith of Rome, NY; her granddaughters, Carrie (Chad Hodkinson), Renee Todora and Nicole (James Spero); her great grandchildren, Jasmine Spero, Brianna Spero, Makenzie Spero, Riley Hodkinson, Emily Hodkinson, Alexandria "Allie" Todora and Nico Todora; her niece Kathleen (Michael Roser); and her nephew Scott (Nicole Smith).
